This class library for Java contains two classes of interest, Derive.class and Eval.class .
Derive.class performs symbolic differentiation of a mathematical expression given as a String.
Eval.class parses and evaluates a mathematical expression given as a String.

This package is used in all the calculator and plotting applets and applications available
on this site, for example the GraphApplet.

(Note: info.lundin.math replaces the earlier com.javathings.math package)
